This arrangement of Johann Strauss’ polka française Im Krapfenwald’l transfers the characteristic lightness and playful spirit of the original into a large percussion ensemble setting.

The instrumentation is conceived with flexibility in mind, allowing adaptation to ensembles of varying sizes and technical levels. Optional parts enable both educational and concert use without compromising structural clarity.

Characteristic sound elements of the original — including cuckoo calls and bird whistles — are retained and integrated naturally into the percussion texture, preserving the descriptive and humorous character of the work.
