Zwischen zwei Welten explores the meeting point between contrasting musical traditions. At its centre stands the Styrian accordion, placed in dialogue with vibraphone, marimba and a wide range of additional instruments. Folk roots and jazz-influenced textures merge into a sound language that moves freely between genres without fully belonging to any single one.
Rather than blending styles superficially, the trio treats the encounter itself as material: rhythmic grooves, extended timbres and improvisational passages unfold within carefully shaped arrangements. The album reflects an early phase of experimentation, characterised by curiosity and a deliberate expansion of instrumental colour.
Across more than two dozen instruments, the trio navigates between regional idioms, original compositions and stylistic crossovers, mapping out a sonic terrain that lies — as the title suggests — between worlds.
