With their second album, Johanna Seitinger and Lukas Maierhofer once again transform everyday observations into songs that balance humour, social commentary and quiet melancholy.

Rooted in the Styrian Mürztal region, the album portrays its landscape and people with both affection and subtle critical distance. Songs such as Mürztal and Der Hahn reflect life between industry, nature and local peculiarities, while others revolve around overheard gossip, unspoken admiration and the small dramas of village life.

Alongside these observational pieces, the duo also turns towards more introspective territory. Songs such as Nebn deiner Woikn and I bin’s leid explore emotional vulnerability with directness and restraint. Traditional material, including In die Berg bin i gern, is reinterpreted and placed within a contemporary context.

The ensemble is built around guitar, double bass and drums, expanded by Styrian accordion. At its centre remain the distinct vocal voices of Seitinger and Maierhofer, alternating between celebration, lament and intimate exchange.
