The duo version of Slow Times expands the original solo work by adding a piano part. While the calm and slightly melancholic character of the piece remains unchanged, the piano broadens the harmonic space and introduces an additional layer of texture.

The loose succession of motifs and episodic sections is retained, now shaped through the interaction between vibraphone and piano. The sustained sonorities of the vibraphone are complemented by the harmonic depth and resonance of the piano, creating a more expansive sound world.
