This arrangement of the traditional carol Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht is set in a calm and sustained atmosphere. The well-known melody unfolds in a spacious setting for solo vibraphone, allowing resonance and tonal clarity to shape the interpretation.

The harmonic framework is based on a reharmonisation of the carol by Rudi Wiesegger, which forms the structural foundation of this version. Within this framework, the piece maintains a restrained character while gently expanding the expressive range of the original material.

The arrangement allows for flexibility in performance and encourages an idiomatic, improvisatory approach based on chord symbols and form.
