This arrangement of the traditional German Christmas carol Leise rieselt der Schnee presents the familiar melody in a relaxed, jazz-influenced setting for solo vibraphone. While the original tune remains clearly recognisable, the harmonic language and rhythmic phrasing open the piece towards a more contemporary sound world.

The arrangement allows for flexibility in performance. In addition to the notated version, the concept encourages an idiomatic and improvisatory approach based on chord symbols and form.
