This trio arrangement of Julius Fučík’s Florentiner Marsch was created for the instrumentation of Quetsch ‘n’ Vibes. The rhythmic precision and characteristic drive of the original are preserved, while the redistribution of material across Styrian accordion and mallet instruments results in a transparent and chamber-like texture.
A prominent solo for musical saw introduces a distinctive colour and a subtly theatrical element, contrasting with the martial character of the march.
The arrangement is recorded on the album Kaleidoskop by Quetsch ‘n’ Vibes.
Quartet and large percussion ensemble versions of the work have also been developed.
